Eric, Roger,
We visited your work in progress on Sunday with the rest of the Passive House bus tour. You guys are doing a great job. We like the southern exposure that your lot provides.
What was the register that you will utilitze to balance and more air between the bedrooms and other parts of the house?
We are also in the planning stages of a Passive House in NE Florida near the coast.
All the best,
Steve Wyman

Hi Steve,
Thanks for visiting and your kind words! Here are the transfer fans we are using http://www.tjernlund.com/airshare_ventilation.htm There are two varieties, the hi-lo and the level to level.
Remember, when you pump air into the rooms, you are essentially inflating the rooms, so you will also need to relieve that pressure. I think trimming the bottom of the doors is not enough. You can either put a vent on the walls above the walls or do this http://www.tamtech.com/store/in-door-pressure-relief-balance-ashrae-energystar-transfer-grille,Product.asp We are doing the latter. Good luck and I would love to hear more about your project.
